Well, it’s been a while since I’ve had a moment to sit down and write and so much has happened in the last month – February has been and gone!
I ended January by judging the Australian Hair Fashion Awards, which I’ll be attending on the 10th of April at Sydney’s famous Luna Park. Very exciting! It’ll be hosted by David Mannah editor of the Journal magazine. There was some fantastic work so I’m really looking forward to seeing who the winners are.
I had an amazing week skiing in Austria, I went back to the place where I spent my 21st and luckily I didn’t end up in the same state as I did then with a fractured back. It was great to see Söll again after so many years; well, not that many years
It’s my favorite holiday of the year. Lots of outdoor action, exercise, sunshine, fresh air, and a little Champagne. My friends gave me a fantastic birthday celebration making the journey home a little slow and tiring but worth it.

London West End
Back in London the celebrations continue… A few birthday dinners, one of them at the J Sheekey on St Martin’s Court – I loved it, what amazing oysters! Thanks to Nicola Pembro for a fun filled evening.
I also had a great Sunday afternoon watching the world go by outside Cafe Boheme, which is closing down for a refurb. Anyone who knows me will know how sad I will be when it closes for 18 months…
Enough of the Birthday celebrations and back to work.It was straight back to full on weeks… I had a great meeting with Organic Colour Systems; lots of exciting things are about to happen…
I compered the Academy Salons’ Awards night, which was fantastic – congratulations to Salv for a brilliant evening, you have a really great team.
We had a great month in the salon really, really busy, thanks to our amazing clients. If you’ve had trouble getting an appointment with any of our stylists please leave your name at reception and they’ll put you on the cancellation list so your stylist can get back to you at short notice and hopefully get you booked in.
Last weekend I was at Salon London at the Excel Centre for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing for the inaugural hair section of this event. It was also Pro Hair Live in Manchester, which I heard was amazing. Our calendars are so full with events but I never tire of it. Even though we work so hard there’s also the social element to it.
I’m off to Glasgow next week for Masters Night. If you’re from around there don’t forget to get your ticket! Enjoy the rest of your week.
