It’s been all systems go for the last few months. I hope you’ve enjoyed the team’s blogs!
Since I’ve last written, I’ve been to Glasgow to compere for the Fellowship’s first Masterclass Scotland – a brilliant night and at such a cool venue.
I’ve also attended Salon Smart with the Balmain Hair UK team at the Crown Plaza Albert Embankment. Another great night, hosted by Catherine Hancock and with shows from Adam Reed and Shane Bennett.
I had a little personal drama when my boiler caught fire a couple of Thursday nights ago: I have to say I was not very cool under pressure but at least I didn’t have to style it out in the street wearing flannel polka dot PJs! (All credit to my flat mate, she still had a flirt with the fire men despite her attire. whilst I was flapping around panicking…)
The salon has been really busy and congratulations to Marcos who’s worked so hard this year and been promoted to stylist; he books up fast so get your appointments in!
There was even more drama with the salon being broken into in the early hours of Friday morning. Novice burglars were all caught on CCTV camera and all they got away with was our empty GHD boxes from our window display…
Bit of a spoiler to the start of the Easter weekend as I had to come in to get the windows mended but I finally made it to Brighton late in the afternoon on Friday and managed to get the last hour of the amazing sunshine.
The next day not so sunny but I had a great time; I did a 10k walk on Devil’s Dyke and, even though it was far too early for me, it was amazing, I love the feel of the wind on my skin. Cleared my head beyond belief.
Over the last few months I’ve been planning my collection for the next year and today I finally fly to Australia to shoot. We have tons of mood boards. I always get a bit anxious at this point with nagging questions like have I done everything? Is the concept great? I’ve poured my everything into it though, so I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ll also be attending the Australian Hair Fashion Awards, which I judged earlier this year so I’m really looking forward to a glitzy evening at the famous Luna Park in Sydney. I’ll tell you all how it goes when I return next week.
Until then, enjoy the amazing sunshine when you see it!
