Colour Festival at Karine Jackson Hair & Beauty Salon, Covent Garden
Colour specialist and former London Hairdresser of the Year Karine Jackson holds a fabulous Colour Festival every year during August.
Customers are invited to the Seven Dials hair & beauty salon to find out more about their organic & vegan hair colour services and what they can do for their hair. The Colour Festival is the perfect time to have a proper consultation and assess whether your colour is working for you.
Plus there are always some brilliant offers and prizes to be won and complimentary refreshments to enjoy!
The salon uses Organic Colour Systems, which contains naturally derived ingredients that are kind and nurturing to the hair. As seen in the Sunday Times Style, Vogue, Observer magazine and Marie Claire, the colour has the lowest possible percentage of PPDs in order to significantly reduce the risk of allergic reaction.
Says Karine: “Clients love the non-drip gel and the fact that the treatment nourishes their hair. Organic Colour Systems does not cost any more than conventional hair colour and the feedback we’ve received has been fantastic – people are raving about how glossy and soft their hair is after colouring.”
Last year, everyone who visited the salon during August received a pink or orange balloon to pop, revealing a piece of paper with a prize inside.

Prizes included Dermologica facials, manicures, shampoo & conditioner duos, colour, cut and colour and 20% off colour, plus all clients had the opportunity to pay £2 for a treatment and scalp massage worth £25, with the £2 being donated to the Little Princess Trust charity.
Karine’s clients include actresses Shelley Conn (Mistresses, Marchlands, Terra Nova), Rachel McDowall (Mama Mia, The Producers), and Neve Campbell, presenters Katie Hill and Sam Mann, and BBC One Show presenter and renowned eco journalist Lucy Siegle. She is a popular choice with journalists, many of whom have christened her ‘the queen of blonde’ for her faultless colour transformations!
The Swirl Technique – Hair Colour Trends at Karine Jackson Hair Salon, Covent Garden
Karine says, “We’re working with a new technique in salon called the Swirl technique, where we mix two colours together and swirl them around the head for a bespoke colour – this can be as subtle or as bold as you like. For summer I love a mix of rose blonde and gold shades using this technique as it’s still light and seasonal but much softer and very on-trend.
“Bright shades can often be harsh on certain skin tones so opting for something much more golden and rosy is incredibly flattering. If you’re going for a new colour make sure you keep hair in the best condition possible as over-processing the hair can leave it damaged and dry – I love the Organic Colour Systems Revamp and Power Build in-salon treatments for keeping coloured hair vibrant this season.”
