As her reign comes to an end, it’s time for Fellowship for British Hairdressing President, Karine Jackson, to hand over the mantle to President Elect, Ken Picton.
However before Karine stands down, there’s time for one more event – her final President’s Night on April 8th.
President’s Night traditionally provides the reigning holder of the role to celebrate their achievements as President; from innovations and causes close to their heart to the inspiring hair they love to create. It also serves to recognise the Fellowship’s close relationship with the Hairdressers’ Charity, and crucially, brings members together to network both with their peers and with the manufacturers and brands that support the Fellowship as sponsors.
For her final President’s Night, Karine is promising to take guests, “on a Fellowship journey to remember,” as she looks back at the work that the organisation has done over the last 73 years. Within her own tenure as President, Karine has made significant changes; launching the Live Lounge, regional Hair & Vision events, the Barber Project and the soon-to-be-launched digital project.
Fellowship projects are stronger than ever and now have waiting lists. Karine has met with industry bodies to build better relationships, and to unite in getting consumers talking about hairdressing for all the right reasons. She has also achieved record sponsorship, which has visibly helped to support building a united industry.
Karine’s handover event looks set to be an inspiring, motivating and fun night, all taking place within the gorgeous surroundings of the Landmark Hotel in London’s Marylebone. The evening will start with a networking reception, followed by dinner, drinks, presentations – and a few surprises.
Tickets cost £200 per person and are available now at fellowshiphair.com
