Wedding Shoots, ghds & make up trends
Another action-filled few weeks at the Karine Jackson salon!
Last week I worked on a cover shoot for Perfect Wedding Magazine – watch out for them! We created some beautiful images and it’s always a great day, dressing up beautiful models as brides.
This week has been all about ghd as we started the week with an inspirational training session with the lovely ghd Creative Director Anton. Anton came into the salon and showed the team lots of new techniques using the Curve range. My team are now pumping out some fantastic looks thanks to the tips on how to use the tongs, wands and hairdryers to their best advantage.
I was then at the ghd Style Squad auditions as a judge. 15 very nervous under 21’s got ready to show us their homage to a designer. There was some amazing work presented so a huge well done to everyone who got this far.
The weekend was all about the family as my niece turned 30!! 30?? I can’t believe it as I’m only 34 myself. What a lovely day, Champagne flowed and Ottolenghi food was served. The sun was shining and it was good friends and family everywhere, so happy birthday to Marnie.
This week has been full of meetings. The girls got together for The Hair And Beauty Benevolent to brainstorm a fundraiser – watch this space for more details (all I can say for now is that I’m in training on my very pink bike). Today was Ian’s training session for our team so it was an outing to the London College Of Fashion for an exhibition which was about the make-up trends for the McQueen shows. Then it was straight back to the salon for a brainstorming session on our new colour trends.
Enjoy the sunshine,
