Pro Hair Live London 2015

What a crazy two weeks! So, at the start of last week I went for my interview to become a British citizen. That was pretty exciting, and after 24 years of living here it’s about time…

Areas We Cover

West End Salon - Nearest Tube Stations Leicester Square or Tottenham Court Road

Sunday evening I was invited to the natural and organic product awards 2015 by Stuart Chidley from Viviscal. It was a great evening; I met some really interesting people all with great ideas and passion for what they do. I never seem to go home at the time I should – no off switch – I love a bit of net working.

Into work on Monday a bit tired but excited as it was the President’s Night for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, meaning Errol Douglas’ last event as president and the hand over to Bruno Giamattei, our new president.

It was a great evening held at the Northumberland hotel; the food was amazing and Errol put on a hair show across the ages ending with Victoria Secret models who I think were fantastic.

I would like to say a special thank you for my medal and beautiful flowers for my service as Chancellor. I will miss Errol as our President, he’s been a great mentor and leader. Working with our new president has begun straight away, getting our first event in Manchester off the ground for an amazing showcase of hairdressers on the 20th July so make sure you don’t miss out if you’re a hairdresser in the north.

After 2 late nights in a row it was straight into work for a fully booked week with clients, meetings and prepping for our show on Sunday at Pro Hair Live at London Olympia.

Friday night saw a quick catch up with my girl friends and Saturday morning I went to see my nieces and great niece (both were gorgeous!) before heading to the salon to get ready for the Pro Hair Live and Salon Smart events over the weekend.

It was the first time Pro Hair Live has come to London and what a great event. We rocked our red carpet looks on stage! I have to say a huge thank you to my great team, Simon Hall, Edward Osborne and India Sparacia.

I also met with some great people, I sat in on inspirational talks about business and some amazing hair shows (well, not as good as mine obviously!!)

Then it was a quick dash over to the Crown Plaza hotel riverbank for Salon Smart where I was talking about colour and business. I was very nervous but had a fantastic response, so thanks for inviting me Creative Head! We were treated to a brilliant show by Sam Burnett from Hare and Bone and the boys from the North, Hooker and Young.

It’s now back into the salon to a fully booked column and fully loaded with new ideas from the weekend to drive our business forward. Tomorrow I am on a shoot with Perfect Wedding creating their front cover looks which is always a great day, I love working with their team. Keep you posted!
