Organic Hair Colour, Headmaster’s Awards, Viviscal & Staff Training

The first week back at work was intense. We had a great day down at the Organic Colour Systems factory. I’m also writing a manual to make it easy for stylists and the client to understand what colours will work for them and why certain colour choices don’t. It’s very exciting and the final touches are being put on it now. Thanks to OCS for their help with that.
It was an early start that morning and a full day but I loved the tour of the factory – how neat, clean and organised it is (anyone who knows me will understand how much I love organisation!) and how delicious it smells – no strong chemical smells there.
Then a big rush back to London to attend the Headmaster’s Awards dinner at the Evolution in Battersea Park. 1000 guest were there for the brilliant evening hosted by Mark Wright. Congratulations to all the winners and the Art Team for putting on a great show.
The next morning was back in the salon to a fully booked day and in the evening I was at the launch of the Viviscal new images produced by Errol Douglas. Thanks to Chloe for the invite – I love the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, and the images are beautiful.
Friday was a big day for the team and the salon. None of us are perfect, but I do know that when mistakes are made we need to learn from them. We had a massive training session with Salon Evolution working on getting the consultation right for our clients, owning mistakes and making sure it doesn’t happen again. Everyone was buzzing after this session and a great end to the busy week.
Friday night I was at The Ivy Chelsea Garden for my special friend’s birthday. It was a great night but I have to say my Dad is the one who cooks seafood the best. My lobster was slightly under-cooked in parts and scallops were chewy. Hmmmmm…
This week is looking just as crazy as last week – off to Council for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing and ending the week with a trip to Sweden to teach a seminar. I will tell you all about it next week.
Enjoy your week and 2016 – remember you only get out of life what you put in…
