Covent Garden West End Hair Salon Top

Super Stylist

What a month, I can’t believe February is over!

It’s been a great month for me with another birthday gone. A big thanks to all my family, friends and the salon team for making me feel so special, especially when I took a (sober) tumble down the salon stairs in front of all my clients – well it WAS Friday the 13th!

The next week I had an amazing time skiing in Morzine, it really is one of my favourite things to do. Skiing fast down a mountain with nothing but the sound of the wind rushing through my ears gives me time to think and really gets me motivated for the year ahead.

I flew in Tuesday morning and went straight to the salon for a full day of clients. Actually it was a full week of clients and prepping for a seminar last Sunday. Simon and I were teaching cutting and colouring trends for 2015 to Organic Colour Systems Salons from Norway and Denmark. What a great day! Later that evening, it was a quick dash to Olympia for the first ever Coloursoft Awards.

On Monday we closed the salon, which is always nerve-wracking but completely worth it. We joined forces with Billy Currie’s salon and had the most inspiration day with Antony Whitaker, learning to be super stylists. The living legend Tim Hartley joined us for the day and gave an amazing talk at the end. We finished the day by going to dinner to chat about what we had learnt – the salon is still on such a high!

Now it’s time for full-blown prep for Pro Hair Live in Manchester where we are doing four shows. Last Friday night the art team and I had a great brainstorming session and have moved our collection on to present at the event, which I’ll tell you all about next week.

Last night I had the chance for a little down time with my friend Nicola Pembro so now I’m ready for the busy week ahead.

Until next week,
